- I am a mother of two with 4 grandchildren, married to same wonderful man for 37yrs. I work Part-time as a nurse and paint whenever I can. For many years I did numerous crafts and painting tshirts/sweatshirts as well as doodling now and then. I began drawing again in Nov '07 then started painting February '08. I found that I am much more comfortable with Acrylics and Loving it!!

"2010 Annual Top of the Lake Art Fest"
Also entered the Juried Booth Division and I was
fortunate enough to win the Honorable Mention Award for my Painting "Taylor Creek Riverbank"
"2009 Annual Top of the Lake Art Fest"
This year I entered the Juried booth division and Was fortunate enought to win the Second Place Award in the Painting Catagory with my Painting "Bullseye".
"2009 Annual Okeechobee County Fair"
In the Adult division I entered 3 pieces of artwork, one in each catagory and was fortunate to have recieved Awards in all 3.
1st Place- "Greetings" in Acrylic
1st Place- "Steam Train" in Watercolor
2nd Place- "Blue Heron" in Color Pencil.
"2008 Annual Top of the Lake Art Fest"
I was fortunate enough last year to have won an Excellent award in the 2008 Top of the Lake Artfest for one of my Color Pencil drawings. "Little Princess".
"2008 Annual Okeechobee County Fair"
In the Annual Okeechobee County Fair winning 6 Awards, one in each category:
1st Place- Watercolor-Jerry Lee
1st Place- Graphite Pencil Acrylic-Sweet Gardenia
2nd Place- Color Pencil-Little Princess
2nd Place- Acrylic-Blue Iris
2nd Place- Charcoal-Tropical Winds
3rd Place- Oil Pastels-My Boys
Being one of my first contest I've ever entered, I was totaly Thrilled.

If there is anything you wish to have painted, even any of my artwork here that is unavailable which you like, It could be painted similarly.
I love doing pet portraits, especialy those in memory, which hold so many memories of a beloved pet. All I would need is a photo which can be emailed.
